Essential goods reach Vakarai

Heavy vehicles with essential goods reached Vakarai today (29-11-06). 94 heavy vehicles full of essential goods reached Vakarai through the Mankerny army checkpoint. The Batticaloa District Additional Government Agent K Mahesan took these goods, for 31,000 refugees displaced from Sampur and Muttur areas.

Vakarai people were starving for the last few weeks and their starvation was used by the LTTE for their political gains.
