Six persons were killed by the LTTE cadres within 48 hours in the Jaffna peninsula

Kulam Kularasa (aged 27) of Navaladi. Atchuveli and Velupillai Thiyagarasa (aged 59) from Thunnalai, Karavetti Vadamaratchi were shot down by LTTE cadres around 5.30 p.m. last evening at Kings Road, Navagiri.

In addition, Ilayathambi Kirubakaran (aged 31); a dumb from Thoppu, Atchuveli was shot to death by LTTE at Nilavarai, Atchuveli.

Kandan Udaya Kumar (aged 37), a fish monger, from Sri Naratha Vidyalaya area Karavetti West was also shot dead by LTTE at Sambanthan shop premises, Karavetti, Vadamaratchi.

 They had also gunned down the owner of the tea boutique opposite Jaffna Teaching Hospital around 10.30 a.m. last morning. He is identified as Gurusamy Kathiravelu (aged 44) from Manipay Road, Jaffna.
