9 LTTE cadres killed in Mannar

Nine LTTE cadres were killed in the retaliation of the army when the LTTE launched an attack on the army camp of Nilachenai today in the early hours at 2.30 a.m. 24 cadres were injured in this attack said the information centre of the national security.

The losses incurred by the LTTE were revealed when the army overheard their communication. Three soldiers were also killed in the LTTE attack. 3 T-56 rifles and 13 magazines, T-56 ammunitions 355, 3 RPGs, 3 hand grenades and other goods were recovered by the army when they searched the area after the battle.
