Army point at Thalgasmankada comes under LTTE attack

 Media Centre for National Security (MCNS) said, an army point at Thalgasmankada, South of Paanama, came under a terrorist' attack this evening. The sources further said that troops have successfully foiled the attack that took place around 6.p.m.

Meanwhile, it has been reported that the withdrawing terrorists have opened fire at a jeep belonging to wildlife protection department. The officials of the wildlife protection department also have retaliated to the attack compelling the terrorists to flee further into the jungle.

MCNS said that the attackers are those LTTE cadres who are stranded in the Jungles in Ampara district after their debacle in Thoppigala.
