Multi Barrel Rocket Launcher (MBRL) used by the LTTE found in Karyalaimullivaikkal

A Multi Barrel Rocket Launcher (MBRL) used by the LTTE was found by the troops of 58 Division conducting a search and clearing operation in Karyalaimullivaikkal this morning, defence sources said.

"This is the first time the security forces in Wanni liberation offensive uncovered a MBRL", they said. 

Troops had also recovered an LTTE aircraft engine and a few accessories in a search operation conducted in general area Thevipurm, Mullaittivu this morning. 

According to the information, rotary blades, communication equipments, runaway lights and documents belonging to LTTE "air wing" were among the items found during the search operation.
