20 LTTE cadres killed in the Vadamaratchi Sea

Sailors successfully foiled the task of LTTE cadres who arrived on 15 boats to attack the navy and had killed over 20 cadres, security sources informed. Many of the LTTE boats were destroyed and two boats were badly damaged during the confrontation at Nagar Kovil sea area.

LTTE are believed to have come with a big fleet to attack and discourage the navy who were providing protection to the passengers traveling by ship between Trinco and Jaffna.
