New Commander for Vanni

Major General, Jagath Jaysooriya was appointed as the new army commander for Vanni district. He was entrusted with the new position in a ceremony held in the army head quarters. He counts 20 years of service in the army. Major General P. Edirisinghe, who was the Vanni Commander, was transferred to the army head quarters as the Director General of the general staff.
